Peer Support and Recovery at HMP Buckley Hall
Danny had a lovely visit to the Change Grow Live DARS team at HMP Buckley Hall last week. He was able to join their SMART InsideOut group, which was Co-Facilitated by an amazing Peer Mentor who volunteers for the service. Inspirational stories, great use of SMART tools and a real feeling of peer support during the session. Many thanks to the wonderful SMART Facilitator Mercedes Williams who works for the CGL Interventions team at the prison. Mercedes is also helping Danny to create SMART Case Studies, allowing prison residents to tell some of their stories and how SMART has helped them make positive changes in their lives. Great partnership working!
