SMART Veterans Monthly Support Meeting
Interested in join a SMART Veterans Monthly Support Meeting, held on the first Thursday of each month at 12pm -1pm. – Next meeting April 2nd?
This session provides a supportive and safe space for all SMART Veterans Facilitators, both volunteers and paid staff to come together, connect, and share experiences.
The purpose of these meetings is to:
- Share ideas and best practice
- Discuss any challenges or difficult situations encountered during facilitation
- Stay up to date with developments in the SMART Veterans programme
- Build a supportive community with others delivering the programme
There’s no pressure to bring anything specific, just come along, take part in the conversation, or simply listen in. People can email me prior to the meeting for agenda items they would like to add. This is an official SMART Recovery support group to help license holders and facilitators feel informed, equipped, and connected in the Facilitator role.

Are you passionate about addiction recovery, empowering communities, and helping our charity to grow?
UK SMART Recovery is recruiting two Community Coordinators to help support our volunteer facilitators and partner organisations, while growing our network of SMART Recovery meetings across the UK.
💡 In these roles you’ll:
• Onboard and support our amazing SMART Recovery facilitators.
• Work closely with our highly valued partner organisations running SMART meetings within their services.
• Deliver training and workshops to our peer and partner facilitators.
• Help grow UK SMART Recovery, expanding access to our evidence-based 4-Point Programme.
This is a rare and fantastic opportunity to join a small, passionate team working hard to make recovery support for any type of addictive behaviour accessible to all.
📍 Vacancy locations:
• Midlands & London – applicants must be based in the Midlands.
• North Wales – applicants must be based in North Wales.
Both roles are home-based with regular regional travel.
💰 Salary: £24,784 – £27,329
We welcome applicants with experience in recovery services, peer-support, mental health, facilitation, training, and/or community work.
Lived experience of recovery is welcomed.
