Meet the SMART Recovery Team
Meet the team! Believe it or not – the whole of UK SMART Recovery is managed/run by 11 employees in total (Emma our ops manager completes the set). We currently have 547 mutual aid meetings running per week delivered by our own volunteers, people who volunteer for our partners or delivered within treatment or recovery services by staff, key workers, support workers, psychologists and counsellors. We are able to offer tailored programmes for Veterans, Young People and Affected Others. We are a charity but our revenue is generated by partner organisations commissioning our programmes as sadly people tend not to donate or fundraise for addiction recovery – it is too stigmatised to leverage public sympathy like other causes that affect society so much. Our partners and volunteers literally mean the world to us as UKSR would not exist without them! Here we are at the FAVOR Recovery walk in Wolverhampton last weekend. My team giving up their saturday after working a full week to champion what we do and support the recovery community, spreading hope and inspiration. please help us to smash stigma associated with addiction – no one is immune, it can happen to anyone at any stage of their lives. It affects way more people than you realise – many are high performing individuals, you may be sat next to someone who is struggling in this way right now – in the office, on the bus, in a shop or a cafe! If you or someone you know struggles to live a balanced life please try SMART Recovery. If you want to offer your service users or clients a choice, a different recovery path please consider commissioning our programmes

We have a growing membership of over 3,500 national and local third sector organisations, associates in the statutory and private sectors, disabled people, people living with long term conditions and unpaid carers.
