SMART Recovery is launching an annual awareness and fundraising campaign to smash the stigma surrounding addiction in APRIL this year.
- The Take ON Addiction Campaign is being run by the 3 founding affiliates of SMART: UK, America and Australia.
- The main aim is to raise awareness of addiction in order to address addiction stigma in society because we know that stigma ruins lives by preventing people getting help.
- The second aim is to raise vital funds to help our charity grow and develop. We need to diversify our sources of income so that we can keep the price of our licenses as low as possible.
- It is important to us that SMART programmes remain accessible and financial viable to as many people and services as possible.
- There are several improvement projects including digital transformation and providing more development opportunities for our volunteers that we don’t currently have the funds for.
