Unite for Recovery Campaign
Our Unite For Recovery Campaign is going strong. We are jointly walking around the world with the SMART Recovery Affiliates. Please sign up here to help with our campaign. You don’t have to raise any money, you can just help us reach our target! If you’d rather just donate, you can do this by donating here.
SMART Recovery Ambassador
ICYMI, on Tuesday Celebrated DJ and recovered from severe addiction, Brandon Block was announced as the official charity ambassador for UK SMART Recovery. For information on this, please see our news article here.
As part of the announcement, Brandon and our CEO Dr Charlie Orton completed a number of radio interviews, 17 in total to announce his appointment and to discuss our Unite for Recovery Campaign. One of these interviews was with Express FM, which you can view back below, as well as a few images from the event.
London and South East Facilitator Community Group Meeting
Next Facilitator Community Group Meeting is scheduled for Monday, 5th June at 1pm – 2pm and Wednesday, 7th June at 10am – 11am (see attached flyers). You do not need to attend both sessions. I created two meetings in case some people are unable to attend the meeting on Monday. The meetings are held on MS Teams with two different Meeting IDs and Passwords.

National Online Meetings
For this week only: the UK National Online Meeting on Tuesday 30th May 2023 at 7pm is rescheduled for Wednesday, 31st May 2023 at 7pm. The Zoom Meeting ID and Password remain the same.
Online Scotland Meeting
The Scotland meeting held on Wednesdays will be cancelled on the 24th May and 31st May.
Glasgow Mural Walk
Kelly will be attending the Glasgow Mural Walk on Saturday 20th May. Meeting place is in George Square at 11.30am. everyone is welcome. We ask, if you can, please donate between £1-£5 to the campaign. Walk takes around 2/3hrs.
Asda South Shields
As we announced in last weeks Weekly Bulletin, Jeni would be visiting Asda South Shields on Wednesday 17th May. A lovely morning raising awareness of SMART Recovery, chatting with shoppers and bumping into a couple of old friends at Asda South Shields. A couple of images from the event can be found below.
