About Online Meetings

Online meetings are particularly helpful to those who cannot get to a local meeting for various reasons. Individuals also find this option favourable when attending a meeting for the first time and not sure what to expect.

Important information to know before attending

Everyone participating in the online meetings will need speakers or a headset so that they can hear the Facilitator and other participants talking. The simplest way of checking in advance of the meeting whether your speakers will work, is to visit the BBC News website and check if you can hear videos. If you cannot hear these, you will need help with your computer before coming to the meeting. If you can hear, but do not have a microphone, you can still participate using text.

International Meetings

Facilitator Only Meetings

Our community co-ordinators host regular facilitator support groups and tool time sessions online via zoom. All newly qualified facilitators will be contacted and invited into a support group for their region once they complete our training. The community co-ordinators are:

Kelly Doig
Jeni Langley

Danny Howell

Emma Sharp

Colleen Lally

Kenny Reid

Please look out for an email from one of them as they will be your local contact point going forward.

If you have already qualified and would like to attend, please email [email protected]

Problems in Accessing Meetings and Meeting Cancellations

Please note that our online meetings are sometimes facilitated by volunteers.  Whilst they do all they can to avoid cancellations sometimes this is unavoidable.

If the meeting has been cancelled completely, you will not be able to find this on our records anymore. If it is a temporary cancellation then it will say next to the meeting.
